Bauer Brand Style Guide

Project Scope

In 2022, I led the redesign of Bauer’s Brand Style Guide, focusing on storytelling through premium photography and minimalist design. The guide set cohesive standards, reinforcing Bauer’s refreshed brand identity.

  • In 2022, Bauer underwent a significant visual transformation, revealing a new logo and launching its first-ever brand campaign. As the brand evolved, it needed a fully updated Brand Style Guide to reflect its fresh identity and communicate the premium quality and storytelling focus behind Bauer’s updated image. The new Brand Style Guide aimed to serve as an essential resource for maintaining consistency across all brand touchpoints, emphasizing photography and minimalism to resonate with Bauer’s elevated market position.

  • As the project lead, I was responsible for the full concept, design, and development of Bauer’s new Brand Style Guide. My role included:

    • Concept Development: Establishing a cohesive storytelling approach centered on premium photography and minimalist design, ensuring every element conveyed the quality and refinement of Bauer’s brand identity.

    • Design and Layout: Creating an engaging, user-friendly layout for the guide, prioritizing visual clarity and seamless flow across sections to make it accessible and effective for all users.

    • Guidelines and Standards: Writing clear and comprehensive rules for typography, color palettes, logo usage, photography style, and voice, providing a consistent foundation for all brand assets.

    • Alignment with Brand Campaign: Ensuring that the style guide aligned with Bauer’s latest brand campaign and new logo, offering a cohesive framework that supports the brand’s evolving identity.

  • The refreshed Bauer Style Guide established a clear and compelling framework for the brand, setting a new standard for quality and consistency across all visual communications. With a strong emphasis on storytelling through photography and a minimalist aesthetic, the guide effectively captured Bauer’s premium positioning and ensured cohesive brand representation. The guide has since become a foundational tool for all teams and partners, helping Bauer reinforce its refreshed identity and connect with audiences through a unified and impactful brand presence.
